Questions

Here is a list of questions that we have for the kids at the school...

What is your favorite subject?

Who is your favorite teacher?

What do you want to do after school?

How many years have you been in school?

How far away is the school from your house?

And What do you want to be when you grow up? :)

Submitted Proposals

We have submitted our proposals for the web design to Dr. Young, and we are waiting to hear back from the client at this point in time. Our group hopes that the client will pick our proposal. We are excited to be able to help The American Haitian Foundation in creating a user friendly website.
In addition to sending the proposals to the client, this week in class we will be sending Dr. Young a an email thanking him for this opportunity in designing the website. We will present our proposals to the class throughout the week, and we will finish the week with a grammar quiz.

Where We Are

We have finally completed our proposal for the American Haitian Foundation website project. After a good week of chopping away at it bit by bit we finally came up with a product that we all think shows a wonderful idea and design for the website. The final product is very simple in nature but also very direct. The website that we have designed uses the school as the focal point of the homepage. The school is a beautiful center piece that we believe conveys the spirit behind the AHF. We split the information that will be in the website into three categories that each have three subcategories and all of which should cover who the AHF is, what the AHF does, and how to help the AHF. All of the links will be on the left side of the page and visually supplemented with pictures of Haitian children above them. There will also be two links at the top of the page for contact information and a photo album. Well we can not wait to present the proposal to the class on Monday and then eventually to the AHF. We hope that the AHF likes what they see and will choose to have us build their website for them.

Group Meetings

Since we don't have class this week because of interviews, we have plenty of time to meet and work on our design for our website. We want our website to be focused on the school and the children. Incorporating the childrens faces and the opportunites they are recieving is important to us. We want the design to be unique, simple and different. We are going to write the proposal first focusing on these aspects and then we feel like the design and look of the website will fall into place. We are coming up with ideas individually over fall break and will meet again next week to start on the proposal. Im excited about how our propoal is going to turn out because our group is very creative and dynamic. BGE is definitely the best!

Group Update

Hello visitors! Our group is gearing up to work on the first stages of our proposal for our client in class over the next week. I, for one, am excited to see what we can come up with for this project. I feel that each individual from BGE Tiger Design is very creative and our personalities will likely take each other's creativity further than we ourselves can take it alone. I'm ready to see what this will bring for our group and our design and I am confident that we will all be impressed with the results.

Client Visit

We are excited about starting our client project. We recently wrote a client email to Dr. Young and thanked him for his visit. Dr. Young's visit gave us more detailed information about the American Haitian Foundation and the history of Haiti. As a group, we now have a better understanding of the foundation. Next week we will get together outside of class and begin writing our proposal for design of the website. We will work on the project together and during the meeting will divide the workload among ourselves.

Team Update 1

Okay so our team consists of Jennigray, Savannah, Joel, and myself. On the project front we haven't really done much yet, but we have found that we mesh pretty well together as a group. While we we're working on the letter to Acme College I saw that we immediately fell into certain rolls and were working very quickly and very well together. I love the personality of the group; I think that we're going to have a lot of fun in our group as the semester progresses and we work on the project.
